After hearing growing concerns from residents, I have been working with Drayton Bassett Community Speedwatch to tackle speeding in the village.
Having witnessed first-hand the dangerous speeds recorded during a Community Speedwatch session I attended last year, it is clear that action is needed to improve safety on our roads.
That is why I am supporting proposals to reduce the speed limit on Drayton Lane from the national speed limit to 40mph. This is a sensible step to help calm traffic, improve safety, and better protect residents, pedestrians, and other road users.
Let’s work together to make road safety a real priority for Drayton Bassett.
